November 2021 Update: One Church Transformation

 In Featured, Land & Building

Finishing work continues on the new Mission Outpost and Child Care areas. We had been anticipating the Mission Outpost and Dental Clinic construction work to be substantially complete by the end of November and ready for inspections. We have one critical piece of construction that may still cause a delay because of supply issues.

Wall coverings are scheduled to be complete in early December, along with the completion of the glass installation. We’re still waiting for specialty lighting and carpeting for halls and the waiting area – both of which are anticipated in January. These final finishes could be completed after opening. The new refrigerator and freezer are expected to be installed the first week of December. We’re hoping for the new space to be fully functional in mid-December but have contingency plans if we are unable to move to new space until January.

Our new Mission Outpost warehouse will provide much needed space for sorting and storage, along with a loading dock for deliveries. The exterior work is complete for the warehouse, and garage doors are scheduled to be installed the end of the month. Inside the warehouse the countertops have been installed as well as the shelving.

We’re anxious for our new Child Care area to open. This space, too, will have some finishing touches that will be completed after we open for children. The child care area supports nearly every ministry of Prince of Peace, providing safe, bright, happy space for our littlest friends.

Please pray for the continued safety of our construction teams. And be sure to check out our capital campaign webpage for fly-through videos of our finished space. You won’t want to miss the transformation as the adventure continues!
