Student Ministry supports students in grades 6-12 as they grow into their faith and begin to develop a lifelong relationship with God. Weekly StuMin Worship and monthly Called to Connect Weekend Worship provide students opportunities to both participate in and lead worship. Small groups build nurturing and supportive relationships with peers and adult leaders. Service opportunities and special events allow students to express their faith through fellowship, service and having fun.

September through April | Wednesdays unless otherwise noted
Students in grades 6-12 are welcome to find a place in our StuMin Worship Band. Rehearsal will take place in the Sanctuary in the Worship Center. Due to a high number of students, we use a rotation system to ensure that all students can contribute.
All students are encouraged to participate in age-level small groups. There are two sessions, “early” and “late,” meeting in various spaces in the Christian Life Center. Small group content is written differently for high school and middle school groups.
Students are invited to join us for amazing music, large group games, sacraments, and a relevant message in the Family Room of the Christian Life Center. This is not a passive experience! There are many ways to be involved as ushers, greeters, communion servers, game and announcement hosts, guest speakers, singers, dancers, and much more.
StuMin Parent Tools meets on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30. You can expect to experience engaging speakers, lively small group discussion, and some opportunities to have fun with others who are answering the call to raise adolescents. Drop in when it works for your schedule and you do not need to have a student in StuMin to participate.
In Confirmation, formerly known as Affirmation of Baptism, students commit to taking the lead in their own life of discipleship. We approach each of the participants as if they are characters in a subplot of God’s great story.
Then, applying the principles of what makes a truly great story, help them clarify and bring meaning to the life they commit to during Confirmation. Along the way we’ll learn about who God is, who we are, the story we’re a part of, and the life we’ve been called to.
Two 10-week sessions are offered on Sunday mornings each year (one in the fall and one in the spring). Each session culminates in a celebration with the entire Prince of Peace community during weekend worship.
Registration for 2019-20 Confirmation is now open.
Leaders will gather to get information and tips in preparation for the evening’s small group discussion.
