Theme: Called | God didn’t create the world only to step back and watch it unwind itself. The God that we find in the Bible is constantly calling people to participate in God’s unfolding work in the world. God is calling us in many ways: to follow Jesus Christ, as we are, from people, places and things, for service and work, through each other, in suffering, and from within. Today we will consider the “many ways” that God calls us. Those experiences of call often fall into one of three experiences: the acorn, the journey, or the aha! Moment. How have you been called? How is God engaging you in the world? Let’s find out.

September through April | Wednesdays unless otherwise noted
Students in grades 6-12 are welcome to find a place in our StuMin Band. Rehearsal will take place in the Sanctuary in the Worship Center. Due to a high number of students, we use a rotation system to ensure that all students can contribute.
All students are encouraged to participate in age-level small groups. There are two sessions, “early” and “late,” meeting in various spaces in the Christian Life Center. Small group content is written differently for high school and middle school groups.
Freestyle is available for all students and meets in the Media Room of the Christian Life Center. There are snacks, games, and spaces for students to connect. This is also a great volunteer opportunity for parents.
Students are invited to join us for amazing music, large group games, sacraments, and a relevant message in the Family Room of the Christian Life Center. This is not a passive experience! There are many ways to be involved as ushers, greeters, communion servers, game and announcement hosts, guest speakers, singers, dancers, and much more.
This year’s theme is “A People Called Parent.” Parents will explore the different ways children call us into being a parent. A variety of people will cover a range of challenges and issues that parents face.
Parenting Tools meets in the chapel.
In Affirmation of Baptism students commit to taking the lead in their own life of discipleship. We approach each of the participants as if they are characters in a subplot of God’s great story.
Then, applying the principles of what makes a truly great story, help them clarify and bring meaning to the life they commit to during Affirmation of Baptism. Along the way we’ll learn about who God is, who we are, the story we’re a part of, and the life we’ve been called to.
Two 10-week sessions are offered on Sunday mornings each year (one in the fall and one in the spring). Each session culminates in a celebration with the entire Prince of Peace community during weekend worship.
Don’t forget to fill out your attendance sheet! Also, if you have a note for Jason or Dawn this sheet can be a good place to write it.
