Student Ministry supports students in grades 6-12 as they grow into their faith and begin to develop a lifelong relationship with God. Weekly StuMin Worship provides students opportunities to both participate in and lead worship. Small groups build nurturing and supportive relationships with peers and adult leaders. Service opportunities and special events allow students to express their faith through fellowship, service and having fun.

Confirmation at Prince of Peace is a ten-week ministry experience available to students in 9-12 grade. Each week will include small group discussion via Zoom using the Enneagram, a spiritual formation tool that will help kids grow in their connection to self and to God. We will also cover the big story of the Bible, core elements of our Lutheran tradition, and what it means to be a part of the church today. In addition to Zoom discussion and instruction, students will also work through a study of the Gospel of John and write daily in the Enneagram Journal provided with the course. A link to the Enneagram test is included in the registration form. Celebration Worship Service November 20 or 21. Registration opens August 1.

Keeping The Promise Family Experiences

Prince of Peace has dedicated one day each year in the life of your child to remember the promises made during baptism. Keeping the Promise Family Experiences (KTP) are designed to teach children and students about Christian life and equip families to deepen their faith at home.

6th Grade | Holy Scriptures

In response to the promise of placing the Holy Scriptures in your child’s hands, at this KTP families will be invited to place a brand new Bible into the hands of your sixth grader. As a second part of this KTP, families will come together to crack the bindings and explore the Bible in a fun and experiential family experience within a few weeks after receiving the Bible.

9th-12th Grade | Confirmation

In Confirmation, formerly known as Affirmation of Baptism, students in grade 9-12 commit to taking the lead in their own life of discipleship. We help students clarify and bring meaning to the life they commit to during the 10-week Confirmation course. Along the way we’ll learn about who God is, who we are, the story we’re a part of, and the life we’ve been called to.

Two 10-week sessions are offered each year (one in the fall and one in the spring). Each session culminates in a celebration with the entire Prince of Peace community during weekend worship.
