LET’S GO TO CARNEGIE HALL!

This performance venue has been a destination for choirs all over the world for decades – and it’s time to add our names to its storied history. Why now? The quick backstory… Last fall, Prince of Peace hosted the first ever Reconcile Concert with over 150 singers. The experience was powerful…so powerful that we are joining with new partners on May 18, 2024 to do the second annual Reconcile Concert.

In 2025, we plan to take this concert on the road to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall. During this performance, we will deliver a message focused on the ongoing work of reconciliation – coming together to provide a message of love, kindness and acceptance. I think we all recognize how our communities are fracturing; relationships in our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, churches and even our homes are buckling under the weight of polarization, misunderstanding, and mistrust. Reconcile is our response.

Our program will be a full 40-minutes, and is designed to be an immersive experience for the audience ( and singers!) — powerful choral works, massive video projection, spoken word and narration. We are featuring several works from composer Kyle Pederson including a possible world premiere of a brand new composition.

We would like you to join us for this opportunity of a lifetime! To bring Reconcile to Carnegie Hall, we require the participation of at least 150 singers (high school age and above). Review the trip details below to determine if this opportunity is a fit for you.

DATES:
June 12-15, 2025  (fly out Thursday morning and back Sunday morning… though you can certainly extend your stay on either side if you desire).

ESTIMATED PERFORMER COST: (airfare is not yet finalized)

• $2,430 for single occupancy
• $1,930 for double occupancy
• $1,730 for triple occupancy
• $1,630 for quad occupancy

The cost above includes a three-night stay at Midtown Manhattan hotel, concert experience at Carnegie Hall including post-concert catered reception and mementos from the experience, and airfare and transportation to/from the airport.

ADD-ON OPTIONS: 

• Meal package – Includes three breakfast gift cards and two group meals – $185
• Entertainment package – One Broadway show, museum of choice, Top of the Rockefeller center admission – $225

Non-performers are welcome to join us for a reduced fee.

The cost will be broken down into payments over the course of a year, with a refundable deposit payment due on February 15, 2024. (all but $65 is refundable)

PLANNING ITINERARY 

DAY 1: Travel to NYC (for those who add on the Entertainment Package)

• Visit Top of the Rock. This is a visit to the top of the famous Rockefeller Center
• Check in to the hotel and rest up
• Dinner on your own or dinner with the group if you select the meal package
• Attend a Broadway show

DAY 1: Travel to NYC (for those who do not want to do the Entertainment Package — you will take a later flight)

• Travel by bus to the hotel and rest up
• Dinner on your own or dinner with the group if you select the meal package

DAY 2: Morning Rehearsal and Sightseeing

• Morning rehearsal — two hours
• Lunch
• Sightseeing in the afternoon — museum of your choice
• Dinner on your own or dinner with the group if you selected the meal package
• Early to bed… tomorrow is the BIG day

DAY 3: Concert Day!

• Morning free — possible touch-up rehearsal
• Lunch on your own
• Afternoon is rehearsal in Carnegie Hall, group photo, dress for concert, and light supper
• 8:00 pm — It’s SHOWTIME
• Celebration Reception following the concert
