South Metro Meal Pack 2019

You are invited to participate in the 6th annual Feed My Starving Children South Metro Meal Pack! Berean Baptist in Burnsville will be the 2019 host for this event which will gather 10,000 people from 20 different churches and the south metro community to pack over 2 million life-saving meals for children around the globe.


The total cost of the meals packed during this event is $440,000. Prince of Peace has committed to raising $100,000. Take part in making a difference in the lives of hungry children around the world!

Giving Options:
There are several ways to contribute to POP’s share of $100,000 toward the total cost of the event. You may use a “Special Offering” envelope in January and February that can be found in the Sanctuary or at the welcome desk, or place a check in the offering basket at worship marked “FMSC.” You may give online using the button below or give by text using the instructions provided below.

Text giving is an easy way to support the South Metro Meal Pack event. Simply send a text to 952-260-6167 with the amount you would like to give followed by “FMSC.” Make sure to include the dollar sign before the amount. (Example: $20 FMSC)

If this is your first time using text to give, you’ll receive a text with a link to register. Click on the link and enter your cardholder name and credit or debit card information. Registration only takes a few minutes! Once your registration is complete, you will receive a text verification from Prince of Peace and an email receipt indicating the fund into which your donation was credited.


Help us pack over 2 million meals in 6 days by signing up for one or more meal-packing shifts! Invite your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, small group, hockey team, book club…everyone! We will need 10,000 volunteers to make this event a success.

How can I sign up?

Register online today! Click the volunteer button above to reserve your spot at one or more 2-hour meal-packing shift. Register your family, coworkers, classmates, teammates, boy scouts, girl scouts, National Honor Society… your veterinarian, everyone! We will need 10,000 volunteers to come together to make this event a success.

You can register for as many shifts as you’d like! (See group registration info below) This is a great opportunity to invite friends who may not have a church home. It is a meaningful way to show that God is still relevant and alive in the world today.

How can I support financially?

There are several ways you can support this event financially:

  1. Give online here. Simply choose the Feed My Starving Children option.
  2. Place a gift in the offering basket marked for the Feed My Starving Children event or use a Special Offering envelope in January or February.

What are the ages of participants?

This event is designed to accommodate everyone between the ages of 4 and 104. It is a great event for young families to serve together. The adult to child ratio is 1:1 for ages 4-6. The adult to child ratio is 2 children to 1 adult for ages 7-8. There will be sit down positions available for those who are not able to stand for the two hour shift. Child care is available at many shifts for younger children.

Will child care be provided?

We are pleased to offer child care for many of the shifts at no charge for families who are interested in making this a family event. Child care will be provided for children up to 5 years old (if the 4- and 5-year-olds are not interested in packing meals).

Child care will be available weekdays at the 5:00 – 7:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:30 pm shifts and Saturday at the 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 5:00 – 7:00 pm shifts.  Registration is not necessary for child care.
