Hours & Services

Effective November 30, 2020: Due to high Covid-19 case rates in our community, Mission Outpost is scaling back to curbside pick-up for food and hygiene items only. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 952-898-9311. Guests are allowed to receive food one time a month. Our hours will be as follows:

  • Monday & Wednesday – 4:00 – 6:00 pm
  • Tuesday & Thursday – 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
  • There will be no Thursday Farmer’s Market

Our MOVE ministry partners with Dakota County and the State of Minnesota to provide employment resources.

MOVE Ministry

MOVE strives to understand and support individuals and families as they progress from where they are to where they want to be.

Our MOVE team can assist with applications for Employment and Economic Assistance (E&EA), SNAP benefits, MNsure, Energy Assistance, job search and resume building, food and nutritional information and many other resources within our community. If you are interested in serving with Mission Outpost, please email us at outpost@popmn.org. All volunteers must attend an orientation session prior to volunteering. Volunteers must also sign up in advance.

Volunteer Orientation

Make a difference in someone’s life by serving in Mission Outpost. Several safety precautions are in place to create a safe space for our guests, volunteers and staff. Morning, afternoon, or early evening opportunities are available. Volunteers must attend an orientation session before they can serve. During this orientation we will share safety protocols and describe the different areas where you can serve. Our volunteer trainings have been scheduled through the end of 2020. Please register here.

No walk-in volunteers will be accepted, due to COVID-19 precautions.

Mission Outpost is currently only able to accept donations of food and hygiene items. We cannot accept clothing, household items, home décor, baby equipment, toys, furniture, and electronics.

Donation Depot Hours

  • Monday thru Thursday 9:00 -11:00 am – tent entrance, Christian Life Center (west side, lower level)

Please do not drop off items during other times, if the doors are unattended, or at other doors.

Guest Eligibility

The first time that guests register for the current year, we request that you bring:

  • Photo ID for everyone in the family who is 18 and older (driver’s license or copy of one, school ID, passport)
  • Identification for everyone in the family 17 and under (SS card, medical card, school ID, birth certificate)

Each time you visit, we request that you bring:

  • Your photo ID and a copy of a current utility bill, medical bill, county mail, etc.

Directions

Please park in the parking lot on the west side of the Christian Life Center building and enter through Door H, located on the south side of the building.
