In response to the coronavirus, the Prince of Peace campus will be temporarily closed until further notice. Someone is on-call 24 hours a day for ministry needs or emergencies; call 952-435-8102.

Welcome to Mission Outpost! The Prince of Peace community, in partnership with The Salvation Army, is called to connect with people in need in the south metro area. If you are experiencing a difficult time for any reason, Mission Outpost is a hub of hope and wholeness where you can receive food and support from caring individuals.

Mission Outpost Hours

Mission Outpost is closed on Memorial Day – Monday, May 25

MISSION OUTPOST WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR FOOD ONLY VIA DRIVE-THRU MODEL. Please remain in your vehicle. A number will be given to you when you enter our parking lot and you will be instructed where to wait. Pre-packaged bags of food will be loaded directly into your vehicle once the distribution begins. We will be limiting the number of families served during each distribution. Reminder: You are only allowed to receive food one time a month. There will be no clothing, household items, dental clinic, tax preparation, and no Thursday Farmer’s Market until further notice.

Mission Outpost staff will be on-site for food only but will be returning calls and emails during this time. Thank you for your patience.

MOVE Ministry

MOVE strives to understand and support individuals and families as they progress from where they are to where they want to be.

Our MOVE team can assist with applications for Employment and Economic Assistance (E&EA), SNAP benefits, MNsure, Energy Assistance, job search and resume building, food and nutritional information and many other resources within our community. For more information, please contact us at or 952-898-9394.

We are asking that all volunteers register for each shift in advance. A sign-up was sent via email to those on our email distribution list. We ask that you don’t arrive until the beginning of your shift. Thank you for your continued support and faithful hearts! If our sign-up is full or you are unable to volunteer, you can continue to support us through prayer!

We currently do not have the resources to accept and sort donations, not even food. Effective immediately, if you’d like to support Mission Outpost, the best thing you can do is provide a financial gift to support Prince of Peace mission and ministry. We are able to purchase food in bulk and at significantly reduced prices. The food we purchase comes directly from the warehouse, with minimal hands touching it – so less chance of contamination. You can give online here. Thank you for your understanding.
