Gifts come in all shapes and sizes and our Gift Tree is a reflection of what that may look like around the world. This year we will be focusing our giving by partnering with Armful of Love, Ebenezer, Tanzania scholarships, and Feed My Starving Children. We invite you to take a tag from our Gift Trees in the Sanctuary beginning November 23-24 and be the reason for a smile this Christmas. Follow the instructions on the tag and return gifts no later than Sunday, December 8 at noon. Volunteers are needed during the following times:
For more information contact Linda Olson by email or 952-898-9307.
Order poinsettias in honor or memory of a loved one to beautify the altar area during the Christmas season. The cost is $15 for a large red 8” double poinsettia. Order envelopes are available at the Welcome Desk and tables in the Sanctuary or place an order online below. The deadline to order is Sunday, November 24.
Advent isn’t just a season of the Church year. It’s an invitation to allow the Spirit to transform us and stir our sense of anticipation for the gift of the Christ Child. It’s a time to reflect and remember the significance of Jesus, the Messiah, coming to dwell with us all. Our faith invites us to experience the living Christ and to embrace how Jesus’ life impacts each one of us. We can celebrate a living advent because we worship a living Lord. This season of preparation is a time when God is calling us out of darkness of sin and death and hopelessness and into the light of the love, hope, and peace that Jesus brings. Join us for this season of Advent.
