Student Ministry is where youth in grades 6-12 worship God, form lasting relationships, and serve in the world. There is a lot to Student Ministry at Prince of Peace!

Bottom Line: God Uses Us To Do Great Things
In week two of our series Another Christmas Story, we meet Zechariah and his wife Elizabeth. This couple, similar to Abraham and his wife Sarah, are parents to a son who would announce a brand new work of God in the world. In this case, their son, John the Baptist, would announce that Jesus was coming into the world. We are not too dissimilar from Zechariah and Elizabeth in that we are people who are waiting for God to do a new thing in our midst. This week we’ll discover what we can learn for our time as they wrestle with the news that God is going to use them in a special way.
Things to Know This Week:
We’re going to get comfortable for StuMin this month. So, wear your PJ’s and bring a pillow each week as we take time to dig into the Christmas story together.
We have created a new way to give! We feel this may be an easier way for your students to give offering each week. Use the details on the graphic to get started!
We encourage your student to download this Bible app! We use it for sermon notes during StuMin Worship each week.

Text giving is a quick and easy way to give an offering for those of us who don’t carry cash or checkbooks – and you can include the kiddos, too! It’s also a great way for students to begin practicing personal stewardship.

The middle school choir provides ongoing support for our student ministry as we seek to engage students in opportunities to be involved in music and in missional experiences. While POP ROCKS! will sing for worship services, the primary goal is to send them out to sing and serve all over the Twin Cities and beyond.
POP ROCKS! is an awesome, positive and inspiring ministry where we celebrate what students can accomplish with dedication and effective leadership. Please join us on Wednesday evenings in the Worship Center Room 130 (lower level under the Sanctuary) from 5:30 ‐ 6:15 pm.
Our students in grades 6-12 are welcome to find a place in our StuMin band. Rehearsal runs from 5:30pm to 6:15pm every Wednesday in the sanctuary in the Worship Center. Due to a high number of students, we use a rotation system to ensure that all students can contribute.
In Affirmation of Baptism (offered in the fall and spring), students commit to taking the lead in their own life of discipleship. We approach each of the participants as if they are characters in a subplot of God’s great story.
Then, applying the principles of what makes a truly great story, help them clarify and bring meaning to the life they commit to during Affirmation of Baptism. Along the way we’ll learn about who God is, who we are, the story we’re a part of, and the life we’ve been called to.
Two sessions are offered, one in the spring and one in the fall. Each session consists of 10 classes on Sunday mornings. Each session culminates in a celebration with the entire Prince of Peace community during weekend worship.
Throughout the year we host opportunities for students in every grade. Below you will find an activity calendar with our upcoming events where you can find more information and register to participate.
