Student Ministry is where youth in grades 6-12 worship God, form lasting relationships, and serve in the world. There is a lot to Student Ministry at Prince of Peace!

This week we continue our Captives series. This week we will hear a presentation defining youth sexual exploitation from sexting to trafficking, the red flags of predator tactics, healthy vs. abusive relationships, internet safety, and when and how to get help if you, or someone you know needs help. Parents are invited to Parenting Tools in the Chapel from 7:15-8:00 where there will be a speaker for parents.
StuMin will follow the regular schedule this week. You can find the schedule on our main Family Ministry page.
Help Wanted and Live Registrations:
On May 2, we will host a banquet for all of StuMin to celebrate the year, send our seniors, and look forward to the future. We are currently looking for people to assist in coordinator roles for food, hospitality, senior recognition, and decorations. If you would like to serve in these areas, please contact Jason Kramme.
During the month of March, we would like to provide some basketball-themed games for Freestyle. We are looking for indoor basketball hoops that we can set up in the Community Room. If you have one that we can borrow, please contact Jason Kramme.
On May 18-20, join other Prince of Peace families for a weekend away to connect with each other and with God. We’ll spend the weekend at Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp in northwest Iowa. We’ll have campfire worship, stay up late playing games, enjoy awesome speakers, and come to know each other more deeply. The cost for a family of four is $200. Register here for Family Recharge.
This summer all of the kids involved in Family Ministry will head to camp Wapo on the same week! Middle School students will enjoy a great week on main site. Our high school students will spend the week at Ox Lake where they will be challenged as leaders in our StuMin community through high ropes courses and leadership training, enjoy the beauty of the St. Croix river valley by hiking, canoeing, and horseback riding, and grow deeper with God through campfire worship and devotional time. The cost is $430/student. For more information, please contact Jason Kramme. Register Here for Wapo.

Text Giving Is Here!
You can now make a contribution to Prince of Peace with a quick text message!
Text giving is a quick and easy way to give an offering for those of us who don’t carry cash or checkbooks – and you can include the kiddos, too! It’s also a great way for students to begin practicing personal stewardship.
You can find more information including step-by-step directions here.
If you have questions about your registration, contact Dawn Ridgway.
Our students in grades 6-12 are welcome to find a place in our StuMin band. Rehearsal runs from 5:30pm to 6:15pm every Wednesday in the sanctuary in the Worship Center. Due to a high number of students, we use a rotation system to ensure that all students can contribute.
In Affirmation of Baptism (offered in the fall and spring), students commit to taking the lead in their own life of discipleship. We approach each of the participants as if they are characters in a subplot of God’s great story.
Then, applying the principles of what makes a truly great story, help them clarify and bring meaning to the life they commit to during Affirmation of Baptism. Along the way we’ll learn about who God is, who we are, the story we’re a part of, and the life we’ve been called to.
Two sessions are offered, one in the spring and one in the fall. Each session consists of 10 classes on Sunday mornings. Each session culminates in a celebration with the entire Prince of Peace community during weekend worship.
Throughout the year we host opportunities for students in every grade. Below you will find an activity calendar with our upcoming events where you can find more information and register to participate.
