The Mission Outpost Eye Clinic offers essential vision services to individuals of all ages who lack vision insurance or face financial hardships. Our volunteer-driven non-profit clinic provides basic eye exams, referrals for complex conditions, and access to affordable eyeglasses.
Our volunteer-based clinic just recently opened, but we have a strong history of serving our community with our sister dental clinic, which opened in 2014. We serve residents of Dakota, Scott, and Carver Counties, as well as neighboring areas, and we are committed to enhancing community health through improved vision.

Appointments
Scheduling: All eye care services are by appointment only.
Call 952-898-9381 Monday through Thursday to request an appointment.
Examination Fee: $25. Only cash is accepted.
Glasses: $25. Only cash is accepted.
Only the person requiring treatment will be allowed in the clinic, except in the case of interpreters and minors. If you are not feeling well, we ask you please reschedule your appointment.
Clinic Hours and Emergencies
Appointments are offered depending on volunteer availability. For urgent vision concerns, please contact local emergency services or specialized eye care providers.
Volunteer Opportunities
The success of the Mission Outpost Eye Clinic depends on the generosity of vision care professionals who are willing to share their expertise, time, and compassion with those in need throughout our community. We welcome optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, vision care assistants, and students who are eager to give back and help improve the overall eye health and well-being of our neighbors.
We are grateful to collaborate with clinics and providers across the Twin Cities who share in our mission including partners like Walman Instruments, Amcon Labs, and the One Sight EssilorLuxottica Foundation, as well as professionals from Burnsville Family Eye Care, Eagan Eye Clinic, and Yankee Eye Clinic.
You can get involved in several ways:
There are many ways to get involved. You can volunteer individually, or with members of your practice once a month, quarterly, or whenever your schedule allows. You may also choose to donate a service for an individual or family at your own clinic.
Getting Involved is easy!
Choose a day and timeframe that works best for you—we take care of the rest! Volunteers are asked to provide proof of licensure and attend a brief orientation to get familiar with our clinic protocols. Clinic tours are available upon request. Once we receive your application, our Eye Clinic Manager will be in touch to guide you through the next steps.

Donations
Mission Outpost Dental Clinic operates entirely on donations and grants – with the support of our volunteers and partner organizations – to provide quality vision care for our neighbors in need.
