We often associate Lent with repentance. This year, we will remember that to repent means to “think again” or to change one’s mind. God transforms our lives by renewing or changing the way we think. Jesus had a strategy for helping people to do just that – he asked questions. Lots of questions. Three hundred and seven to be exact. Probing questions have the power to evoke deeper thinking and challenge us to come to new conclusions, to reframe how we see things. In other words, Jesus’ questions invite us to reimagine, to rethink, to reframe. Join us this season as we find new ways to think.

This devotion leads us through the last hours of Jesus’ life. Written reflections and original art help us enter into each Biblical scene. allowing us to ask “Where would I stand in the scene? How would I respond?” When we place ourselves in the story, we see Jesus’ sacrifice and God’s unconditional love in new ways.
There are three ways to experience The Scriptural Way of the Cross:
Families, neighbors, and friends are invited to celebrate Easter together through fun, motion, and being together. Egg-Stravaganza is designed for young families to play games, create Easter crafts, and hunt for goodies with an egg hunt for Pre-K or Grade School-aged kids. Families will gather in the Sanctuary for stories, activities, and a “game-ified” egg hunt (food-free option upon request). Take a photo with the Easter Bunny! Stay for an optional Pancake Brunch (suggested donation $5 per person or $20 per family); proceeds benefit local student school lunch debt. There is no cost, but registration is required. Register here.
Holy Week marks the culmination of the 40 days of Lent and the final week of Jesus’ life, beginning with Passion Sunday, which we refer to as Palm Sunday, and concluding with Resurrection Sunday. Each of our worship services will provide significant times to pause and consider the impact of Christ’s final week and reflect on how that impacts our lives today. Worship is an important part of our spiritual life and one that climaxes during Holy Week. Our prayer is that you attend many of these significant worship experiences, and together we will nurture the Spirit’s presence in our lives and draw upon the power of resurrection for each one of us.
Childcare is available for all on-campus services. All are welcome.
