If music and people are your passion, here’s your chance to connect to the Prince of Peace community and God through Worship Arts. Celebration Choir We are excited for the fall season of Celebration Choir! If you’ve been singing in the car or the shower long enough and are ready to sing with us, please join the Celebration Choir this fall. No auditions are required, but we sure do hope you can sing on key … ask a family member, they are usually honest! This group is welcoming, friendly and ready to meet you and get you connected as we make a joyful noise to God. The music is simply amazing, with great spirituals, original compositions by Kyle Pederson, and other favorite worship songs. Celebration Choir kicks off Thursday, August 25 at 7:00 pm in the chapel. For more information, please contact Mark Slaughter. Brass Choir If you play a brass instrument and are looking for an opportunity to use your talents, consider joining the POP Brass Choir. Rehearsals will begin Thursday, September 8, 7:00-8:00 pm in the Sanctuary. For more information, please contact Josh Becker. Handbell Choir New this year! We are starting a handbell choir this fall! This will be an auditioned group of 10 players. You will need to have prior handbell ringing experience and advanced music reading capabilities. Rehearsals will be each Thursday at 6:00 pm in the sanctuary beginning September 8. Contact Mark Slaughter for more information. Sign up for an audition. Flute Ensemble The Flute Ensemble is a looking for new players. This group of 7-10 players plays primarily at in the 9:00 am worship on Sunday, once a month. Praise Band/Vocal Singers Do you play an instrument (guitar, bass, drums, keys)? Did you grow up playing in a band? Maybe you were in musicals in highschool and folks have always told you that you have a great voice. Mark Slaughter would love to chat with you and see how your gifts and and passion can enrich weekend worship. Maybe you know someone else who might be a good fit. Our greeters, ushers, and coffee hosts play a crucial role in making our campus inviting for all that attend weekend worship. If you love to welcome people in with a smile, then we have a spot for you! Our hospitality volunteers serve at one weekend service on a once-a-month rotation.
