November 2022 Update from the Call Committee

The Call Committee, approved by the congregation in a congregational vote, is charged with prayerfully researching and calling a new pastor to Prince of Peace.

The Call Committee has been working with Saint Paul Area Synod Bishop Patricia Lull and Dave Travis, a transition consultant, as we begin our work to find our next lead pastor. The consultant has led multiple focus groups held with dozens of Prince of Peace members, the Board, the Call Committee, and the staff. These sessions have sought to determine the primary roles and characteristics our new lead pastor must have in order to be successful. 

After reviewing and analyzing the focus group feedback, the Call Committee will create a Ministry Site Profile and Lead Pastor Profile that the bishop will use to determine possible candidates for us to interview. The Ministry Site Profile describes Prince of Peace and the surrounding communities. The Lead Pastor Profile details desired characteristics and priorities of the new lead pastor. 

There will be a dedicated time period where any/all congregation members will be welcome to submit feedback on these profiles, as well as recommend specific candidates they’d like us to consider. Watch for more details on that in the upcoming weeks.
