It’s a process that started — and will be ending — with the Holy Spirit guiding every aspect of the work. It’s the work that started before the snow fell in Minnesota, with the Call Committee members being voted in by the congregation in October 2022. Since then, the Holy Spirit has led the members through focus group conversations, work with a pastoral consultant, the very detailed draft of a Ministry Site Profile and a very close partnership with the bishop to vet and interview potential candidates. It’s the culmination of months of scheduling, meeting and sorting through the minute nuances and plans for the future of our church and its leader. After interviews with multiple candidates, the Call Committee members are pleased to make a recommendation to the Board of Directors on a lead pastor candidate. Please look for more from the Board in June as we welcome this particular person to move forward in the process and be welcomed into our Prince of Peace family. We appreciate the prayerful thoughts and questions we’ve received in the last several months, and we know that this candidate will look ahead to the future of the church and what it can do in our community. So much good is happening here, and we are looking forward to seeing what this person can do. Thank you for your questions, thoughts and prayers. More to come!
