Maybe it was just last month or maybe it was over twenty years ago – regardless of the date, I hope you were greeted by someone with a smile. Hospitality matters because people matter, and we want everyone that steps foot on our campus to know that they matter. In November, over 100 of our hospitality volunteers gathered for training and appreciation for their continued efforts to ensure Prince of Peace is a welcoming place for all! I asked them what they love most about volunteering on our hospitality team and here are a few of their answers: “A smile goes a long way!” “It sets the tone for people and how they perceive our church. First impressions matter!” “Everyone should know this is a place they are welcome.” “I love meeting and greeting new people!” Would you consider joining our hospitality efforts? We are looking for more people to help at our services! All roles serve on a once a month or as needed basis and will be part of a team. Our hospitality roles include ushers, greeters, communion servers, coffee bar hosts, and funeral assistants. We’ll find the right role for you! Email Amy or call 952-898-9393 for more details. Our biggest needs are: 2nd Saturday of the Month Ushers at the 5:30pm service Greeters, Ushers, and Communion Servers at the 11am service Coffee bar hosts (new ministry launching – which will help us switch over to using real mugs!) Romans 12:13 says “When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.” So join us – we’d love to have you as part of the team.
