Build a support system with people who understand.
As the number of individuals living with Alzheimer’s continues to increase, we need to make sure people who are impacted have information, resources and support. Alzheimer’s Association® support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for people with dementia to develop a support system, exchange practical information on living well with dementia, learn about community resources, and talk through issues & concerns.
This support group for people with dementia will meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 2:00-3:00pm at Prince of Peace. An initial & ongoing screening is required for attendance. The group meets for six-month sessions (October 2019-March 2020), beginning on October 9th and will take a month off after the six sessions for reevaluation.
For questions and to schedule a screening, contact: Kari Snyder, Senior Adult Ministries, at 952-898-9357 or by email. For additional information on Alzheimer’s support groups, please contact the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
