How often do you get to hear 45 instruments lifting their voice together, live, right in front of you? Experience the sheer power and wall of sound coming at you and be moved by the most beautiful melodies and tender passages later in the same piece.
On Sunday, January 28, you can do all that AND raise money for the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) South Metro Meal Pack. The Augustana University Concert Band will help lead worship at both the 8:30 and 9:45 am Prince of Peace worship services in the morning. That afternoon they will be performing a benefit concert in the Sanctuary. A freewill offering will be received with all proceeds going to support the following week’s food packing event right here at Prince of Peace.
What else could be better on a Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm than to hear rumbling timpani drums, soaring trumpets, majestic horns, dancing flutes–and witness more than forty outstanding, spirit-filled college musicians playing their hearts out. With any luck, the Lord Jesus himself will come down from heaven.
