Construction has not yet been authorized, but the Board has given our architects the go ahead to create construction drawings for the first phase of the project. The alternative worship space may or may not be built in the first phase of the project, but it will be included in the drawings. The board set an overall construction cost cap of $11M for this complete phase, and the construction drawings will reflect that budget. Once drawings are completed and the construction bidding process is done, the Board will decide the final scope of the first phase. All decisions on construction, including actual phasing and approved costs, will be based on our ability to handle the costs. Final capital campaign commitments and the bid prices will be considered in a decision to move ahead.
