After 50 years as a church community, there is a lot to LOVE about Prince of Peace. For those of you who have been part of this community for a long time, I can only imagine how rewarding it must be to look back on the 50 years of life change and community transformation that Prince of Peace has been part of. God’s power at work in this community of people has accomplished incredible things.

Over the past few weeks we have asked you to share what you love about Prince of Peace. We wanted to capture and celebrate what God has been up to over the years in your journey at Prince of Peace. Your stories are a testimony to the gifts of community, creativity, and compassion that come from living together as God’s people. Here is what a few of you said:

“I love the way people, faithful servants of God, at Prince of Peace’s mission outpost are the hands and feet of Jesus. I have been blessed to receive food, clothing and furniture when I didn’t know what to do – unemployed, new in town. Praise God for POP.”

“Prince of Peace is a place and people of integrity. One can ask questions honestly and not be judged…”

“Learning scripture as it applied to everyday life.”

“I love how Prince of Peace connects with kids!! Awesome!!”

“The people.”

“The music program at Prince of Peace has been a blessing to me. I have sung in the choir and in musicals since 1986 and have met wonderful friends. God speaks to me through music.”

“I love the creativity and compassion.”

“What I love about Prince of Peace is they provide an ASL interpreter every Sunday at 9:45 and for special events and provide captions on screen. I love this church.” – Barbara P.

Thank you so much for sharing. If you didn’t get a chance, share what you love on our Facebook page or email me.
