Wondering why Prince of Peace is no longer a collection site for Operation Christmas Child?

We’ve been in the process of seeking to simplify ministry for several years now. We are seeking to have a greater Kingdom impact by doing less and focusing more. The decision to stop utilizing our campus as a collection site for Operation Christmas Child is one of many strategic decisions that will be made in the future to focus our ministry.

According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty. An estimated 400 million children lack adequate access to clean drinking water. Each day 3,000 children in Africa die from malaria. In light of these troubling statistics the leadership at Prince of Peace has decided to shift attention and focus to those things which directly impact these statistics.

The decision to no longer utilize Prince of Peace as a collection site for Operation Christmas Child is not a reflection on OCC. We trust that other congregations that feel called to do so will become collection sites. In addition, we encourage Prince of Peace disciples who are moved by the ministry of Operation Christmas Child to continue to support their work. More information is available on their website.
