Grade 6‐12

Student Ministry is where youth grades 6-12 grow in their faith by serving God, worshiping together, and forming lasting relationships.

THIS WEEK AT A GLANCE

Theme: Perform – Sports

This week we’ll be talking about how to integrate our faith with athletics. The schedule tonight will have the normal flow. Make sure to fill out your attendance sheets and then drop them into the attendance sheet bin on the bin cart. You are invited to join me at Lucky 13 for appetizers. I will lay out plans for the rest of the spring and this summer.

Things to Know This Week:

  • Content and Small Group Guides

This month we will continue our journey through the Gospel of John. In worship we will include a quick devotional that ties the John passage to the topic of the night. Then, in the small group guides, you’ll find questions that debrief the speakers content followed by a devotional based on the John passage.

  • Sunday StuMin

THIS WEEK Session 5 Sunday, February 25 at 11:00 am | Does your middle school student have a hard time attending on Wednesday nights? Do they want a community to connect to on Sundays? Join us for games, music, and a devo in Room 200 for Sunday StuMin. If you lead middle school students who are unable to attend on Wednesdays, be sure to encourage them to check this out.

  • March Mystery Madness

On Friday, March 2 from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am middle school students from Prince of Peace will join students from other area churches for our annual March Mystery Madness retreat! This year we will begin our night at Shepherd of the Valley at 7:00 pm with worship led by our very own StuMin Band, huge group games, and time to connect with friends from other churches. Then from 9:30 pm to 11:30 pm we’ll take buses to Bowlero in Lakeville to play arcade games, laser tag, and bowling. The cost for the evening is just $35.00 and covers two games of laser tag, two hours of bowling, $5 of arcade tokens, and the bus. If students want to buy concessions at Bowlero, they will need extra money. Register here.

  • Wapo for Middle School and High School

This summer all of the kids involved in Family Ministry will head to camp Wapo on the same week! Middle School students will enjoy a great week on main site. Our high school students will spend the week at Ox Lake where they will be challenged as leaders in our StuMin community through high ropes courses and leadership training, enjoy the beauty of the St. Croix river valley by hiking, canoeing, and horseback riding, and grow deeper with God through campfire worship and devotional time. The cost is $430/student. Find registration information on the registration page.

Text Giving Is Here!

You can now make a contribution to Prince of Peace with a quick text message!

Text giving is a quick and easy way to give an offering for those of us who don’t carry cash or checkbooks – and you can include the kiddos, too! It’s also a great way for students to begin practicing personal stewardship.

You can find more information including step-by-step directions here.

If you have questions about registration or your small group details, check with Dawn Ridgway at dridgway@popmn.org.
