Pastor Jason Kramme Announcement

 In News

Dear Prince of Peace,

At the end of January, my time as a pastor at Prince of Peace will come to a close. It was just about ten years ago this month that I stumbled upon a position description for my dream job: Family Ministry Director at Prince of Peace in Burnsville. It was teamwork, it was dream-big-or-go-home, it was a movement. I went for it. Six months and nine interviews later, my first day was the first day of VBS. It was perfect.

Since then, God has given me so much through this church. I’ve been able to work with some of the most beautiful, talented, and faithful people. My heart is so full when I think about what we’ve done together. I’ve been invited into hundreds and hundreds of families. I’ve watched you bring your babies into church for the first time. I’ve seen them go to college and come back again. I’ve officiated their weddings. I’ve watched a lot of parents become empty nesters–and a little grayer.

I’ve also been with you at the end of life. I’ve heard your hopes and dreams for your families and our shared community. I will always cherish those opportunities to remind you that the same God that calls you child at the first is the one that calls you child forever.

I’ve grown a lot. There was so much to learn in this job. So much to explore. I went to seminary, again, then you called me as a pastor. Along the way, I’ve found my voice and gained understanding about what God is calling me to do.

The most important gift you’ve given me is love for my family. My boys love coming to POP Kids and to StuMin. My wife, Julie, has found so many wonderful friends and support.

We’ve been truly blessed by you.

As Prince of Peace enters a new chapter, I know it is time for me to do the same. Pastor Paul Dean, and Pastor Jeff Marian before him, have always encouraged me to grow and explore where God might be leading me. It is time for me to take all that I’ve learned and experienced to the next right place, which is Peace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD. This a great opportunity for me to use all that I’ve learned and experienced here to bless the Peace community.

Thank you for your love, care, and support these many years. I hope to see you on January 27 and 28 which will be my last weekend.

Love,

Jason, Julie, Emil, and Forest Kramme (and Zeke the dog)
