Technology & Driving for Seniors: A New Pilot Program
We are excited to offer a new pilot program for seniors, Smart DriverTEK. This program was designed by MIT AgeLab and The Hartford with AARP as a sponsor. The course is for anyone 50+ years old and its purpose is to understand current and evolving vehicle safety technologies and how these technologies might enhance driving safety, plus extend safe driving years for seniors. It is designed for individuals who just purchased (or may purchase) a new car, and need to know more about these technologies and how they work. At this time there are four states (Minnesota, California, Georgia and Arizona) participating in this pilot workshop. Register by contacting Kari Snyder at firstname.lastname@example.org or 952-898-9357. There is no cost for the workshop. Note: This course is not to be confused with the 4-hour or 8-hour “Safe Defensive Driving Course” which qualifies individuals for a 10% discount on their car insurance policy.
