An event every week that begins at 6:30pm on Monday, repeating until May 7, 2018
Almost half of the adult population is living with a chronic disease. If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired and want to take control of your life, then this program is for you and those who love you and are walking this journey with you.
This 5-week course is a fun and effective way to help you and your loved one learn to deal with the stress, fatigue, frustration and pain that are common for people who live with chronic conditions. Often these secondary symptoms of chronic illness can become more debilitating that the disease itself. You will gain the self-confidence to manage your illness as you discover and believe in the possibility of abundant life through hope, strength, joy and anticipation for a future filled with promise.
Leaders are Marilyn Tubbs, a lay minister at Prince of Peace with 37 years of lay ministry experience, and someone who has had rheumatoid arthritis all her adult life, and Pat Kasell, who worked in health care for 35 years focusing on health education and behavior change. For questions about the class, please contact Marilyn at 952-890-1723 or Pat at 952-935-1720. Transportation may be arranged, if needed. Deadline for registration is April 2nd. Registration is free and limited to 30 participants. To register, please contact Kari Snyder, Senior Adult Ministries Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 952-898-9357.
