Block Party By Liz Ridpath Posted July 28, 2016 In Featured, Land & Building 0 0 A four hour workshop was held with a group of 60 people including members of the Board of Directors, key staff and lay leaders representing every swath of ministry at Prince of Peace, along with those with construction expertise who stepped up when volunteers were requested earlier this year. This group was given blocks representing the square footage of worship, community/outreach, administration and small groups/education hopes for the new space. Participants consistently found working with the existing footprint frustrating. In both exercises, participants consistently placed a large entry / community space adjacent to the worship space. There was consensus that the pathway from parking to worship needs to be efficient and short. There was disagreement about the number of levels in a new space, and which programs would be best suited for an upstairs or downstairs. Please note: Nothing has been decided yet. This is an ongoing discussion that could use your voice. Liz Ridpath Recent PostsUnityCompleting the Chapel & Matching GrantPhase 1 + Matching Grant OpportunityThe Adventure Is About To Begin!
